Following the footsteps of Hermann Jansen’s Ankara, a new green corridor was proposed in the dense urban fabric of Kavaklıdere, Tunus Street. In order to revitalize the buried stream of Kavaklıdere, Tunus Street was closed for car traffic, and a rainwater collection system along with a public transportation line in the form of a Heliox ring was proposed. The proposed complex aims to bring together the mixed uses within Kavaklıdere in the form of a design center. The program gathers the existing functions within the region, allows for production in highly functional coworking offices and studios; and exhibition. Integration of the green corridor is strengthened further with the connections in the ground floor, acting as a public square.
