Vacant to Vibrant: Designing with Water
As a stigmergic approach, following the traces could create complex relations. In that context, searching for traces of water is a stigmergic process, and water is one of the most important issues of Bodrum. Within the thickness of Bodrum ground, the project proposal revealed the hidden water fabric of Bodrum and showed and the spatial potential of it. The proposal uses this potential, which includes a network of cisterns, stream beds, and wells. Merging new green fabric and water fabric results in a new landform. As a design strategy, transforming the vacant areas by the water was always sought for.
