The building addresses both the need for vertical development in given site, and characteristics of the program as a public oriented creative production building which is also located at the end of a public axis; by integrating the human interaction with vertical development. Form of the building is both shaped by its role on the urban context and the variations on interaction spaces. To oppose the existing block typology alongside kordon, lower levels are formed as separable masses. And the formation of commercial oriented interaction spaces as stepped terraces to relate between themselves and promote to outside at the same time. These terraces together with separable masses relates the building to human scale and integrates it more to its environment. As for the production clusters, it was important for users of different clusters to interact with each other to further promote the creative thinking process. So, 3 clusters are formed as an internally connected single mass with a different usage type on each cluster’s interaction space; to promote vertical circulation through one cluster to other. Both the proximity and number of user groups varies alongside the functional possibilities for these interaction spaces. Lastly; the structure of building is composed from Mass timber framing system. Aim for this, alongside all technical advantages of the system in the context of İzmir, is to create more human friendly spaces to positively promote the creative process of users.
