A CENTER FOR ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTION AND EXCHANGE: DESIGNING AN IN-CITY CAMPUS FOR A SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE IN PARIS
Location of the site is between west access and south gate of the park which have high density of people.
Connecting two entrences may provide people to observe the site so that people walk through it. Cinematic promenade of the park gives people different experiments. Likewise, this connection may be part of the promenade and give different perspectives.
Apart from the cinematic promenade there are pedestrian flow axis. Considering these axis a central point appears and this point create open puclic spaces. However this groth cannot be limitless. It is ristricted by existing axis again.
An architectural school is a collective space not only for students and instructor but also for public. In this manner, the promenade may serve as a collective space. In addition, promenade lead people to public spaces. Main users of the architectural school mainly comes from west entrance of the park and metro station on avanue Jean Jaures. Considering that main masses are placed to face to axis.
Masses raise from the ground and allow passage. At the same time lead people to the entrances.
